Non-surgical Treatments of Facial Lines and Wrinkles
Have you ever looked into the mirror and thought, "I’d look ten years younger if I didn’t have these wrinkles and frown lines"? If the answer was yes, then you might be interested in learning more about The Plastic Surgery Group’s non-surgical treatment options for facial lines and wrinkles.
Women tend to show more expression in their face and the skin is typically more delicate, so wrinkles appear exaggerated and more permanent. The lines that appear between your brows are a result from facial muscles contracting over time.
Botox and Dysport are simple, 10-minute treatments of a few tiny injections that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows. The treatment does not radically change your facial appearance, so you can still frown or look surprised without the wrinkles between your brows! Botox and Dysport work by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscles, which reduces the muscle activity that causes wrinkles to form.
Facial Fillers, such as Perlane, Restylane or Juvederm, can be used to treat deeper wrinkles and frown lines, smile lines, vertical lips lines, marionette lines, hollowed cheeks, declining lip volume and acne scars. Fillers are injected just below the surface of the skin to add needed volume, thus, smoothing unwanted lines and wrinkles.
While you cannot stop the aging process, scientific research gives rise to non-surgical treatment options. The Plastic Surgery Group offers a variety of age defying treatments to obtain a healthier and youthful appearance and can help you sort through the numerous procedures, discuss your expectations, and recommend suitable treatment plan options.
